As a Quality Assurance Manager at Ikon Technologies working as part of the Product team, you will be responsible for ensuring that web and mobile applications (iOS, Android) – which exist today, and which will be launched in the future- and processes meet high quality standards. In addition, you will be testing the telematics products.
The candidate is expected to be a self-starter with a high ability to quickly comprehend technical concepts, willingness to take charge, innovate, evolve the current process, methodologies, and seek out answers even when given minimal instruction and guidance.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required, as you will be interfacing with developers, management and clients in a fast-paced, dynamic, rapid-development environment. This includes working with internal and external customers to create, develop, and execute test plans based on the business directive and providing detailed defect analysis reports to these teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of QA engineers/testers, providing performance feedback, evaluation, and coaching.
- Work with product and engineering teams to understand product vision and requirements.
- Understand how elements of the software ecosystem work together and develop QA approaches that fit the overall strategy.
- Oversee the development and execution of test plans and monitoring and reporting on test execution. (Functional, regression, unit, usability, and integration testing)
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage by working closely with product and engineering teams to prioritize test execution, review test plans and report on testing progress and results based on the QA metrics you will define.
- Participate in product and design specification reviews and use this information to design and review test plans both for backend and fronted experience.
- Promote QA productivity through automation, tools, and other best practices.
- Participate in release planning of Ikon web and mobile applications and lead the release testing efforts.
- Set a high bar for quality and promote a culture of quality throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or business.
- +7 years of experience in a quality function or related field.
- Certification in the quality assurance domain.
- Supervisory experience.
- Working Experience on Quality Management Systems.
- Strong understanding of end user platforms and their OS.
- Experience with Cloud Technologies, preferably AWS.
- Proficient in Jira and Confluence.
- Knowledge of Automation Frameworks.
- Knowledge of Programming Languages.
- Experience with Agile methodology and working in Scrum teams.
- Understanding of Software Development life cycle and Software Testing life cycle.
